Supervision of Police Personnel
Supervision of Police Personnel (SPP) prepares law enforcement supervisors who have had little or no formal training for the unique working environment of law enforcement. Whether participating in a classroom or online course, all students receive the same curriculum, which covers such critical topics for new police managers as leadership and motivational principles, communication techniques, ethics and professionalism, planning, decision-making, community image, and more.
Nationally respected law enforcement professionals instruct SPP, combining their extensive personnel and management experience with solid academic credentials. All new supervisors or officers who are soon-to-be-promoted, officers who seek promotion, or experienced supervisors who have not benefited from formal supervisory instruction or development are encouraged to attend this critical two-week course.
