Bryan Bennett is a seasoned educator with experience developing curriculum and delivering adult education courses in both online and in-person classroom environments. A proven education program leader with experience managing and overseeing the expansion of large-scale programs, Bennett is a skilled project manager with a history of successfully managing and executing deliverables for multimillion-dollar implementations on time and on budget. His exceptional leadership and team building skills have resulted in committed and empowered teams. A thought leader with work recognized by the Gartner Group, he has written a white paper published in an international journal. Bennett is a national presenter in the areas of consumer insights, executive leadership, customer relationship management, and healthcare technology. He received his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

John Derwent is the analytics content manager at Boston Consulting Group and has managed employees, contractors, and partner relationships in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Previously he worked with SPSS, where he built a team of curriculum developers covering all aspects of predictive analytics, from data gathering to analysis to reporting. At both SPSS and Apropos Technology he modernized training delivery to include live and asynchronous online training. Derwent was a content expert for the redesign of IBM Global Training curriculum architecture focusing on distance learning, self-paced learning, and content reusability. Architect of the data mining and enterprise operational analytics curricula at Northwestern University’s School of Professional Studies, Derwent has over seven years of experience as a corporate trainer in telecommunications and analytics spaces and over five years of experience in leadership and professional development. He holds MS and PhD degrees in applied mathematics from Northwestern.

Jeffrey Strauss has extensive experience in consulting, marketing, and multinational personnel management in a wide range of countries and cultural settings. Strauss is the acting director of the Center for Technology and Innovation Management in Northwestern University’s Buffett Institute for Global Studies. In his 31 years at Northwestern he has managed projects involving the design, development, and dissemination of complex and integrated interactive and other teaching materials and models for management training programs and for instruction about operations in complex and uncertain environments. These projects have focused on such areas as “wicked problems,” emerging markets, emerging and converging technologies, and strategic standards-management and associated planning and analytic tools. Strauss is the vice chair for the Americas and a member of related committees for the International Cooperation for Education about Standardization. Anchor instructor this spring at IEEE for a MOOC on innovation and competition, he has also taught or cotaught courses at Northwestern in the Kellogg School of Management and the business institutions undergraduate program. Strauss holds degrees in sociology, psychology, and East Asian Studies as well as an MBA from Kellogg.
